Dazzling Dragonflies

Discover why dragonflies dazzle in the sun. Join Naturalist Jim Thielke to learn about where they come from and why they are here. We will search ponds and prairies to find different species of dragonflies and what makes them so interesting. Not only will you attempt to catch, examine, and release the dragonflies, but you will also make a bead and pipe-cleaner dragonfly craft to dazzle your home. 

This program is designed for children aged 6 and older; children must be accompanied by an adult. This program will take place entirely outdoors. In the case of inclement weather, a portion of the program will take place indoors.
