$100.00 – $125.00Adults, Field Trips, Guided Hikes
Paddle through one of the Kettle Moraine’s hidden gems. During this energizing canoeing field trip, you will explore the glacial topography of the Wisconsin DNR’s Loew Lake Unit. This pristine section of the Ice Age Trail offers an excellent opportunity to see the native plants and animals of Wisconsin from a different perspective.
This field trip is led by Associate Director and Environmental Educator AJ Grill, who has been canoeing with the Center for 10 years. He has designed this trip for people with prior canoeing experience, but will give a refresher tutorial on canoeing basics.
Each canoe requires a minimum of two people, but can seat three adults comfortably. All canoeing materials, including life jackets, will be provided.
This canoe trip is designed for adults; however if you have a child attending, please email AJ Grill (agrill@schlitzaudubon.org) for further instruction.
This program will take place entirely outdoors, and there is no easily accessible bathroom. Registered participants will receive additional instructions and directions the week prior to the trip. In case of inclement weather, the program will be rescheduled to Sunday, August 31 at the same time.
Members: $100 per canoe | Non-members: $125 per canoe
