Winter season this year has been marked by warmer days, and hardly any snow in Milwaukee. (At least yet!) Even though a snowless winter can feel lackluster at first thought, there is a beauty in the quietness that is offered, and a chance to pay attention to what may go unnoticed when everything is under a blanket of snow. New colors and patterns emerge into focus, and the chorus of Black-capped Chickadees, American Goldfinches, and Eastern Bluebirds singing on a January day will stop you in your tracks. Come take a peaceful hike in these snowless days, and see what nature has on display.
