2025/26 Nature School Application

We’re excited you are considering Schlitz Audubon Nature School for your child!

To be included in our initial Priority Enrollment, please submit your application January 15, 2025.

Applications received after that date will automatically be added to the waitlist in the order they are received.

Please note:

  • Nature School is for children who will be at least three years old by September 1, 2025
  • Children applying for a K4 program must be four years old by September 1, 2025
  • All children must be bathroom proficient and independent by the start of school
  • Applications are accepted regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, political affiliation, and national origin
  • If you have questions or would like to schedule a tour, please contact the Nature School directly at 414-352-2880 x 154
  • We do not hold a waitlist for school years other than the 2025/2026 year
  • Enrollment and waitlist information will be sent to the email you included on this application
  • If you have a younger child, please consider enrolling in Audubon Babies or Audubon Toddlers classes
  • Applicants are placed in classes in the following order: current students, alumni siblings, and Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Members. If there is room remaining, we will pull from non-member applications
  • We do confirm Schlitz Audubon membership
  • Every attempt is made to place children in their preferred class; we reserve the right to create optimal learning communities by balancing classes according to gender and age
  • You should hear back about enrollment placement or waitlist placement by the end of February 2025

    Children enrolling in the preschool program must be age 3 by September 1, 2025. Children enrolling in the K4 program must be age 4 by September 1, 2025.

    Afternoon Preschool Classes (mixed age class for 3 – 5 year olds)
    Monday/Wednesday 12:30pm - 3:15pm
    Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 12:45pm - 3:30pm
    Tuesday/Thursday 12:30pm - 3:15pm

    Afternoon Nature K4 Class ( for 4 – 5 year olds)
    Monday through Thursday 12:45pm - 3:30pm

    Morning Nature K4/K5 Hybrid Class ( for 4 – 5 year olds)
    Monday through Thursday 9:00am - 11:45am

    2025/26 Application Agreement

    • I understand that the $60 application fee is non-refundable and must accompany my child’s completed application.
    • I understand that if enrolled, I am responsible for the payment of contracted fees and that the first tuition payment will be due on August 1, 2025.
    • I understand that tuition is non-refundable.
    • I understand that per Wisconsin State licensing regulation, my child must be bathroom proficient and independent to attend the Nature School. By “bathroom proficient and independent” we mean that your child must wear underpants (not pull-ups) and be able to urinate and have their bowel movement on the toilet as well as wipe themselves after.
    • I understand that I will be notified of my child’s enrollment status in February, and that if a place has not been secured, my child will be placed on a waitlist.
    • I understand that if offered enrollment I must pay the $250 deposit in March to secure my child's enrollment.
    • I understand that should my child be accepted, a link to our online enrollment forms will be emailed to me in April.
    • I agree to complete and submit the required enrollment forms, immunization form, and health history form by June 15, 2025.
