Twilight Hike

As the sun goes down, experience the Center in a different light! Join us for a guided hike on our trails in search of crepuscular and nocturnal wildlife. While we visit different habitats, learn about our resident and migratory animals: how to identify them by sight, sound, or the signs they leave behind. We’ll also encounter the Center’s diverse plant life. This perspective on animal behavior and ecology will expand your understanding of local wildlife.   

On this hike learn about dragonfly migration and about the conditions that cause deciduous trees to drop their leaves. 

Your guide for the evening is Naturalist Jim Thielke, an outdoors enthusiast who loves sharing his knowledge about anything from insects to rocks.
