Raptor Saturday

Saturday, June 5, 2021 | 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free – $8
Sold out
Families, Free with Membership, Wheelchair Accessible, Raptors

Many people would like to know what goes on behind the scenes of our Raptor Program and how we work with the birds as feathered ambassadors. We’ll explain what led our birds to live here at Schlitz Audubon and how we train them for educational programs. Learn what goes into their care, how the birds participate in their own healthcare, and how we encourage them to showcase natural behaviors, such as flight!

Scheduled to appear: Baron von Screech (Eastern Screech Owl), Nicco (Broad-winged Hawk), Tallulah (Turkey Vulture), Loki (American Crow), Valkyrie (Bald Eagle)

Pre-registration is required. You are welcome to hike the trails before and after the program from 9:30am – 1:00pm.

This program will take place entirely outdoors at the Amphitheater – please plan your arrival time accordingly. Seating will allow for social distancing but for the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are six feet or less from others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus. See our latest COVID-19 updates here.

Because this program is weather dependent, we may need to cancel due to inclement weather. Participants will be notified in advance and will still have trail access to visit the Center.

Members: Free | Non-members: Adults $8 | Youth $5 | 2 & Under Free
