Morning Winter Solstice Hike
Wednesday, December 21, 2022 | 9:00 am - 10:30 am
$15.00 – $20.00Director of Education Tom Finley will lead a hike to explore the significance of the winter solstice in Wisconsin. This date marks the beginning of astronomical winter in the northern hemisphere and is usually the shortest day of the year, with respect to sunrise and sunset. Celebrated across cultures for centuries, this is often the time for people to reflect on the year gone by, look forward to the year ahead, and to embrace the gradual change of ever-lengthening daylight. After the hike, we’ll enjoy time around a fire.
This program will take place entirely outdoors.
