Kohler Andre State Park

Renowned as a very popular spot along the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, this 900-acre parcel boasts some of the most unique sand dunes anywhere. We’ll begin our hike along the beach dunes cord walk, through a variety of habitats and trails, and share highlights of Wisconsin’s flora and fauna and also Lake Michigan history. Join Director of Education Tom Finley as we traverse the impressive sandy dunes, the scenic nature trail, and the Black River marsh boardwalk.  

The field trip begins and ends at Kohler Andre State Park. We’ll meet at the main parking lot, which is the southernmost end of the park. Please bring your own lunch, snacks and water. A vehicle admission sticker is required. Vault toilets are available and they have a large picnic area. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants the week prior to the trip.
