Monarchs are amazing. Weighing no more than a paper-clip, they migrate all the way from Milwaukee to Mexico! Learn about the life cycle and migration of monarchs in an interactive, family-friendly way, and see how important habitat, like ours at Schlitz Audubon is vital for these butterflies. We will venture out with nets and tags to participate in an international monarch migration study. We will also have time to decorate a paper Monarch to send to Mexico as part of the Symbolic Migration Project shared with Mexican school children. Families with young children can be Citizen Scientists, too, so feel free to include people of all ages in this program.
