Volunteer Transportation Reimbursement

Volunteers are vital to furthering Schlitz Audubon’s mission of environmental education and conservation. We know, however, that there are many exceptional potential volunteers who face barriers accessing the Center—especially for those without a car.

In order to facilitate easy access to the Center for all, we have established a Volunteer Transport Reimbursement Fund. This limited fund pool will allow eligible individuals to be reimbursed for a rideshare or cab transportation to and from Schlitz Audubon, with the stipulation that the individual volunteers for a cumulative total of at least 12 hours. Funds will solely cover the costs of transportation and will not be used to offset any other potential associated costs of volunteering.

Thank you to the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin for supporting this program and increasing access to environmental education!
