Many of Wisconsin’s woodpeckers do not migrate, and instead spend their winter right here with us. Join Family Programs Manager AJ Grill on this hike to discover what unique adaptations allow the woodpecker to survive Wisconsin winters and carve up the trees in our yards and forests. Program intended for families with children ages 6-10. All ages welcome.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
