Winter Morning Guided Forest Bathing
Saturday, January 9, 2021 | 8:00 am - 10:00 am
$20 – $30Forest Bathing (or Shinrin Yoku) is a Japanese meditative form of nature therapy that has been scientifically shown to benefit mental and physical health. The term translates to “taking in the forest atmosphere.” It involves more than just hiking from point A to point B. Using a sensory approach, we will experience our forests in a way we never have before.
Through a series of guided invitations, we will focus on seasonal changes that occur in the winter and experience the forest in the early morning hours. After a forest bathing session, we will conclude the program with a time of reflection and discussion. Participants will take home skills to continue their own healing through nature, anywhere they go.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus. Members: $20 | Non-members: $30
