Senior Ecologist Don Quintenz will show you fascinating survival strategies of plants and animals in winter. Science has discovered many ways that life is nurtured by the physical aspects of our coldest season. Learn about the subnivean zone, where mammals live below the snowpack in the safety and comfort provided by the white blanket.

This program will take place entirely outdoors. Please read our current mask policy before participation.
