Join Senior Ecologist Don Quintenz for a winter beachcombing hike. You never know what might wash up from Lake Michigan! Our beach is often filled with rocks that display the characteristics of geological processes. We may find fossils of underwater life forms that lived here millions of years ago. We may also see some of our most beautiful ducks that winter in the near-shore waters of Lake Michigan.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
