Being on the edge of winter and spring in Wisconsin brings out unique characteristics in our forests. Trees display swollen buds getting ready to open with this year’s first leaves and flowers, and running sap which provides a sweet treat after a few hours of hard work. Join Naturalist and tree enthusiast Tess Stahler to explore different species of trees, how to tell them apart, and their special adaptations. Learn about their place in the ecosystem, and in our history.
Trails are muddy with some ice, so feel free to bring cleats or borrow a pair from the Center.
