The Frozen Water Cycle

Wednesday, February 8, 2023 | 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

$10.00 – $15.00

,

This program is offered in conjunction with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s youth concert series: Symphonic Splash! A Musical Water Cycle. We’ll begin our discussion about the frozen water cycle inside our Visitor Center. We’ll then take a sunset walk to our Lake Michigan shoreline, where an amazing transformation takes place in winter. The frozen world of water is anything but quiet and lifeless as the crashing waves bring natural sounds to our ears and myriad duck and waterfowl species delight our eyes. From unique ice formations to frozen sand and crackling ice, this unusual world brings new discoveries at every turn.

This program is designed for all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult. This program takes place both indoors and outdoors. Ice cleats are strongly encouraged.

Members: $10 per person | Non-members: $15 per person
