Join our Director of Conservation for a walking tour of the Center’s Stormwater Wetland & Ravine Restoration Project area. This project is the largest and most significant land project undertaken in the nearly 50-year history of Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. This is the second of three tours during the six-week construction period.
With a footprint of more than 20 acres, the Stormwater Wetland & Ravine Restoration Project will protect and fortify the North Ravine while enhancing adjacent wetland habitats to capture water and support native plant and animal species. You’ll learn how the Center is using forward-thinking design to absorb and reduce the erosive force of stormwater. We’ll also share other ways this project supports the Center’s three pillars of its mission: conservation, education, and visitor experience.
Free to all. Registration required.
