The plants in our woods have been waiting all winter long for the right moment to emerge from the newly thawed earth. These species each have their own way of surviving and thriving in this harsh time, while most other Wisconsin flowers wait for warmer days to bloom. They may be small, but each spring wildflower has its own unique and intricate beauty. In this two-part workshop we’ll discover the specialized adaptations of these plants and learn how to identify them by their distinguishing features.
