The first day of spring is almost here and we will begin to notice the hours of sunlight increasing each day. Kathy Brehmer will teach us all about what the spring equinox is and why the seasons change. Discover the fascinating story about how the spring equinox and the full moon determine the date for Easter.
Kathy studied Physics and Astronomy as an undergraduate at UWM. Her passion for astronomy took her to Aruba – off the coast of Venezuela and then to Zimbabwe, Africa to view total eclipses of the sun. Kathy has recently taught several astronomy classes through the Osher Lifelong Learning Center at UWM’s School of Continuing Education.
