Spring Astronomy : The Milky Way Galaxy

Monday, April 20, 2020 | 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$15 – $20
Adults, Wheelchair Accessible

This program has been canceled due to COVID-19.

Astronomers have made many discoveries about the Milky Way in the last few years. Jim Hahn will guide us on an exploration through the galaxy we call home. Is our galaxy typical? What would it be like to live near the center of our galaxy, and what would we find there? After an indoor presentation, we’ll spend some time looking through telescopes outside, so please dress warmly. If there is cloudy or inclement weather, the entire program will take place indoors.

Jim Hahn is a lifelong astronomy enthusiast who got his first telescope and learned the constellations at age 7. He built his own telescope at 15 and still uses it.

Members: $15 | Non-members: $20
