Snail Paddle & Pull

Sunday, May 2, 2021 | 10:00 am - 11:30 am

$30 – $45

Families

Join Schlitz Audubon staff in cleaning up Mystery Lake! Use canoes to access every inch of Mystery Lake to pull out the large invasive snails. Learn about this invasive species and its effects on ecosystems in the Midwest and beyond. You and your family will be given the tools needed, including buckets and nets, to help catch the snails. How many snails can you collect?

When registering for this program, one canoe is for a maximum of four people, all living in the same household. At least one adult is required to be in the canoe with the children at all times.

This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus. See our latest COVID-19 updates here.

Member: $30 per canoe | Non-member: $45 per canoe
