October 25 – November 29 (No class on November 22)
Nature Mondays is a 5-week series hosted by the Nature Preschool. We meet once a week on Monday afternoons. This program is designed for children ages 4 – 6, and makes use of the Center’s outstanding nature trails, as well as the Preschool’s wonderful indoor and outdoor classrooms. In this series, Preschool teachers focus on nature experiences that are age-appropriate and include plenty of time for play and social interaction. Nature Mondays are the perfect option for families who would like their children to share in the Nature Preschool experience, but prefer a short-term commitment!
In this series, we discuss the ways animals prepare for winter. Children learn about migration and hibernation, observe squirrels and chipmunks gathering food, and experience the change in light and temperature as the autumn days grow shorter.
Classes will take place outside. We will practice social distancing among adults when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. We will not practice social distancing among the children, as we want them to have the opportunity to play together. For the health and safety of all, adults and children must wear a mask during this program. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus. See our latest COVID-19 updates here.
Waterproof gear, including rain pants and rain boots, is essential. Enrollment details will be sent via e-mail prior to the first day.
Members: $200 | Non-members: $250
Please read our current Nature Preschool COVID-19 Response Plan before enrolling.
A Student Profile must be completed before your child can participate in Nature Mondays.
