Enjoy a summer evening excursion with Director of Education Tom Finley. Just right for the whole family, our experience will be devoted to exploring popular locations at the Center, such as the tower, ponds and forest. Early evening – the crepuscular hours – offers an abundance of animal activity and sounds. We’re sure to hear katydids chirping in the prairie off of the Gateway Trail, find frogs calling at both Teal Pond & Mystery Lake, and observe one of the best views in Milwaukee from the top of our 60-foot tower. There is always something special to find: from turkeys to bats, and dragonflies to white tailed deer – you just never know what discoveries await around every turn!
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
