This five-week series will offer theory and practice in the Thai Forest tradition of Theravada Buddhism. Several traditional meditation methods will be presented for the development of mindfulness, the identification and release of stress, and the practice of loving kindness. Important points of traditional Buddhist teaching will be covered, including the Four Noble Truths, the Seven Factors of Awakening, and much more. The class will be led by Jim Bayer who has taught Taijiquan and meditation throughout southeastern Wisconsin for over 20 years.
