Lion’s Den Gorge Field Trip
Wednesday, April 21, 2021 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
$25 – $30Tom Finley, Director of Education, and Michelle Allison, Adult Programs Coordinator, will lead you on a guided hike through this scenic nature preserve. As one of the last undeveloped stretches of Lake Michigan’s shoreline bluff land, Lion’s Den Gorge features extraordinary scenic views. Our hike will cover approximately two miles through a variety of habitats, including a staircase descending the 100-foot bluff to the beach. This time of year may provide views of early migratory birds and dabbling ducks on the adjacent wetlands.
The field trip begins and ends at Lion’s Den Gorge. In order to maintain social distancing, you will need to provide your own transportation to and from the park. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants prior to the trip.

This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
