Join Tom Finley and Michelle Allison as we explore the stark beauty of the serene winter landscape along Milwaukee’s beautiful Lake Michigan shore. They will guide us on a winter hike through the trails of Lakeshore State Park and along the pier at nearby Discovery World. We will learn about the history of these recent additions to our Downtown, and hopefully view winter ducks and other waterfowl out on the breakwall. If snow conditions allow, we should see many animal tracks and signs.
The field trip begins and ends at Lakeshore State Park. Restrooms are not available at this time. In order to maintain social distancing, you will need to provide your own transportation to and from Lakeshore State Park. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants prior to the trip.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
