Lake Park shares the wealth of birds that we are used to experiencing at Schlitz Audubon because of its location on the edge of Lake Michigan. It also has some specific habitat for certain birds that are rare at the Center, like Red-headed Woodpeckers. Led by Senior Ecologist Don Quintenz and Adult Program Coordinator Michelle Allison.
The field trip begins and ends at Lake Park. In order to maintain social distancing, you will need to provide your own transportation to and from Lake Park. There are no restroom facilities available at the park. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants prior to the trip.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
