Senior Ecologist Don Quintenz will take you beachcombing on the shore of our Great Lake. Besides the most varied collection of rock types in the world, our beaches can produce some fascinating creatures that live in the depths of our giant lake. It’s also likely that we can find evidence of underwater life forms that lived here millions of years ago, and at the same time, visitors from today’s terrestrial world can be exposed in the stories to be read in the sand.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
