Kilbourn Reservoir & Kadish Parks Field Trip

Wednesday, December 8, 2021 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$25.00 – $30.00

, ,

Milwaukee has several fine city parks with intriguing histories. One is Kilbourn Reservoir Park, which was once an open-air reservoir that provided water to Milwaukeeans for over 125 years. Prominently located at North Avenue & Bremen Street, the hilltop boasts one of the best skyline views found anywhere in the city. Just next door is Kadish Park – which fronts the Oak Leaf Trail and the Milwaukee River.

Director of Education Tom Finley will guide us as we traverse these city landmarks and learn their history, which will feature the story of the cooperation between the COA Youth & Family Centers and the City to revitalize these public spaces.

Expect to hike approximately two miles over paved terrain, but with a few steep hills.

The field trip begins and ends at Kilbourn Reservoir Park. In order to maintain social distancing, you will need to provide your own transportation to and from the park. There are no restroom facilities available at the park. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants prior to the trip.

This program will take place outdoors. Please read our current mask policy before participation.

Members: $25 | Non-members: $30
