Horicon Marsh Birding Tour
Tuesday, October 13, 2020 | 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
$75 – $90Tour Horicon Wildlife Refuge, the premier wetland in the Midwest, with skilled naturalist, Don Quintenz. Over 260 species of birds and other diverse wildlife call Horicon home. Discover this Wetland of International Importance by car and on foot. Learn about the fall waterbird migration and how to identify birds during this time of year. We will have the opportunity to observe the adaptations and behaviors of the birds which depend on this important habitat for their survival. At sunset, we may even witness the spectacular experience of Canada Geese descending on the Marsh in great numbers.
The field trip begins and ends at Horicon Marsh. You will provide your own transportation to and from the Marsh and to the various birding locations during the trip. Please bring your own dinner/snacks. Further details will be emailed to registered participants the week prior to the trip.
We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
Members: $75 | Non-Members: $90
