Hiking the Ice Age Trail – Loew Lake Unit

Wednesday, July 12, 2023 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$25 – $30

, ,

Over its 1,000 mile course, the Ice Age National Scenic Trail is renowned for its scenic beauty and impressive geologic features. Join Director of Education Tom Finley on this hike, which is a continuation of our Monches trip to the same region last September. Only this time, we’ll hike north towards Loew Lake and Holy Hill. We’ll meet at the Loew Lake Unit – Highway K lot in Washington County.

We’ll encounter a variety of habitats along the way and share the historic events that shaped the geology of the region. Expect to hike several miles over undulating and occasionally rocky terrain. Further details will be emailed to participants the week prior to the trip. There are no rest facilities at this location.
