Hiking the Ice Age: Northern Kettle Moraine  

The Northern Kettle Moraine is renowned for its scenic beauty and impressive geologic features. Join Director of Education Tom Finley on this program. We’ll climb picturesque Dundee Mountain for a scenic view, hike to the top of Parnell Tower, and traverse a scenic section along the Greenbush trail. Expect to hike several miles over sometimes rugged terrain and be rewarded with fresh clean air and stunning vistas.  

The field trip begins and ends at the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest, and you will need to provide your own transportation to and from the location and the three areas we plan to explore. Please bring your own lunch and water. A vehicle admission sticker is required. Pit toilets are available. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants prior to the trip.
