Located on the shore of Lake Michigan, Forest Beach Migratory Preserve offers birders a fantastic opportunity to see an incredible variety of birds. We’ll focus particularly on nesting birds and prairie wildflowers, but the diverse range of habitats combined with the migratory concentration of birds along the Lake Michigan shores will guarantee us we will always have something to experience. Senior Ecologist, Don Quintenz, and Adult Program Coordinator, Michelle Allison, will assist participants in finding and identifying birds. In order to maintain social distancing, you will need to provide your own transportation to and from Forest Beach Migratory Preserve.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
