Fireflies: Nature’s Fireworks

$10.00 – $15.00

Whether you call them lightning bugs or fireflies, these bioluminescent beetles light up our summer nights. Why do they flash? What makes them glow? Venture out with Naturalist Jacob Kempinski to the lightning bug hotspots around the Center to observe and record firefly data. You will learn how to identify common species by their flash patterns!

This program is designed for children aged 7 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This program will take place entirely outdoors. Please read our current mask policy before participation.

Members: $10 per person | Non-members: $15 per person
