Family STEM: Design a Seed
Saturday, November 14, 2020 | 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
$10 – $15Trees and plants must protect their seeds in order to help their offspring survive. Some seeds fall straight down, others float away, and some even explode! In this program we’ll discover the different ways seeds survive. Afterwards we will construct our own seed contraptions. Participants will be challenged to protect their seed (an egg) by choosing their materials from a predetermined list of objects. After your contraptions are designed, we will head to the tower to see whose seed will survive!
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus. See our latest COVID-19 updates here.
Members: $10 | Non-members: $15
