Family STEM: Design a Seed

Saturday, October 2, 2021 | 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

$10 – $15
Families, Guided Hikes

In this STEM program, families will explore the forest in search of seeds from different tree species. We’ll discover how seeds move and why, then design some of our own. Each family will receive an egg, representing a seed, and construct a device from a set list of provided materials to hold and protect it. Then we’ll head to the tower to see whose seed will survive being dropped from each level.

This program is designed for children 5 and older.

This program will take place entirely outdoors. In the case of inclement weather, a portion of the program will be done indoors. Please read our current mask policy before participation.

Members: $10 per person | Non-members: $15 per person
