Falk Park Field Trip

Wednesday, March 30, 2022 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$25 – $30
Adults, Field Trips, Guided Hikes, Birds

Tom Finley, Director of Education, and Michelle Allison, Adult Programs Manager, will guide us on an early spring hike through Falk Park in Oak Creek. This ecologically diverse park consists of wet mesic beech-maple forest, dry oak-hickory forest, numerous ephemeral wetlands, and a small meandering stream. The convergence of these habitat types provides a unique opportunity for wildlife to thrive. We’ll explore why this wetland ecosystem supports some of the rarest amphibian populations in Milwaukee County. As we hike, we’ll also look for birds, including early spring migrants.

Expect to hike approximately two miles on park trails, which can get muddy this time of year.

The field trip begins and ends at Falk Park. In order to maintain social distancing, you will need to provide your own transportation to and from the park. There are no restroom facilities available at the park. Further details and directions will be emailed to registered participants prior to the trip.

This program will take place entirely outdoors. Please read our current mask policy before participation.

Members: $25 | Non-members: $30
