Citizen Science: Monarch Tagging

Sunday, September 6, 2020 | 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Free – $10
Sold out
Adults, Free with Membership, Citizen Science

The monarch migration is underway! Weighing no more than a paper-clip, monarchs migrate all the way from Milwaukee to Mexico! Learn about the life cycle and migration of monarchs in an interactive way, and see how important habitat, like ours at Schlitz Audubon, is vital for these butterflies. We will venture out with nets and tags to participate in an international monarch migration study.

This program will begin in the parking lot and take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus. See our latest COVID-19 updates here.

Members: Free | Nonmembers: $10
