In collaboration with Marquette University’s Haggerty Museum of Art, Schlitz Audubon is celebrating the upcoming exhibition Alexis Rockman: The Great Lakes Cycle, which explores the past, present, and future of North America’s Great Lakes. These large, colorful oil, watercolor and mixed-media paintings and drawings highlight animals and plants that call this ecosystem home.
At this event, take inspiration from the artist’s work and use natural materials to create your own artwork inspired by the sights and sounds of Schlitz Audubon. Learn about the upcoming exhibition and the Great Lakes through activities including story time, a guided hike to Lake Michigan, hot chocolate and cider, an interactive mural, and more!
The Great Lakes Cycle will be on view at the Haggerty Museum of Art February 8 – May 19.
Free with membership or admission. Registration is not necessary.
