Celebrating Aldo Leopold Hike
Saturday, March 5, 2022 | 10:00 am - 11:30 am
$15.00 – $20.00Aldo Leopold is considered the father of wildlife ecology and we celebrate his contributions to nature during Aldo Leopold Week. To honor his memory, at the start of the program we will meet on the Veranda, surrounded by the log pillars that were donated to Schlitz Audubon from the Leopold property in Baraboo, WI. Center Naturalist, Cassie Rincon, will read some excerpts from his book A Sand County Almanac. After listening and being inspired from his work, join in a group hike to see Schlitz Audubon through the lens of Aldo Leopold. Feel free to bring your own copy of A Sand County Almanac or purchase one from our Nature Store to follow along.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. Please read our current mask policy before participation.
