Birding for Beginners
Saturday, April 30, 2022 | 7:30 am - 9:30 am
$20.00 – $30.00Adults, Birding, Guided Hikes, Wheelchair Accessible
The early bird catches the worm at Schlitz Audubon! Join Naturalist Tess Stahler and Milwaukee County Parks Natural Areas Supervisor, Brian Russart for a morning of birding basics. Before we set out to explore the trees and skies, we’ll learn what to look for in the world of birds. We’ll discover bird families and where to look for them, common characteristics and identifying features, and introduce field guides to help us before heading on the trails. Then Brian Russart will lead the group in applying our bird knowledge and putting our binoculars to use. Binoculars will be provided for those who don’t have their own. Feel free to bring any field guides if you’d like, but it is not required. Since this program may be partially indoors, masks are required, and we will observe social distancing.
This program will take place indoors and outdoors. Please read our current mask policy before participation.
