Saturdays, July 3 and 10.
Are you one of the many people who wishes they could tell which birds are singing nearby? Learn to recognize the more common birds in your area by sound in this workshop led by Senior Ecologist Don Quintenz. After this workshop, participants will find and identify birds much more effectively.
This class will meet on two consecutive Saturdays. Each day we will start out with a bird hike, then learn some new sound techniques in the classroom, and return to the field to try our new skills. During the indoor portion of this workshop, you will acquire three skills that will help you to remember the songs and calls of birds.
This program will take place indoors and outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
