Sand has been used to bury treasure for centuries! The beach at Schlitz Audubon is like one big buried treasure box. Thanks to Lake Michigan, new treasures wash up each day. We will comb, sift, and DIG in the sand to uncover beach treasures brought in by the waves. Campers will discover a variety of natural objects such as rocks, fossils, feathers, bones, and human-made objects like bricks, concrete and maybe even a piece of beach glass.
