The winter sky has many bright star clusters and nebulae visible in binoculars, and in April we can still see most of them — without the winter chill. After a short program on the veranda, we’ll head to the parking lot for a guided tour of Orion, Gemini, Taurus, and the other constellations of the Winter Hexagon. Please note the 7:45 start time to accommodate the late twilight. You’ll need to bring your own binoculars and reclining lawn chair. Dress for the weather.
This program will take place entirely outdoors. We will practice social distancing when we are able to, but because of the nature of small-group programming, it will not always be possible. For the health and safety of all, participants must wear a mask when you are within six feet of others. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus.
