Astronomy: Origin of the Elements

Monday, April 25, 2022 | 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$15.00 – $20.00

How did we end up with the chemical elements that make up our bodies? Why is there so much oxygen in the universe, but not much gold? Astronomers have pieced together how the elements are forged in some of the most violent processes in the universe. Jim Hahn guides us on this journey of discovery. If weather permits, we will set up telescopes after the presentation for views of the Beehive Cluster and the Orion Nebula.

This program will take place indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). Please read our current mask policy before participation.

Members: $15 | Non-members: $20
