Information for Educators

Resources for Educators
We feel it is important to share our knowledge with other educators and give them an opportunity to advance their skills and information about nature-based education. For that reason, we host conferences, teacher training sessions and visiting educators.

Upcoming Workshops

  • Nature-Based Early Childhood Brain Development Cards
This product developed and produced by BrainInsights and the Schlitz Audubon   Nature Center is a great tool for building healthy brains while experiencing the natural world. The activity cards provide information to parents and teachers in everyday language about corresponding brain development and promote interactive learning for children. Now available in our Nature Store!

Student Teaching
Schlitz Audubon Nature Preschool welcomes the opportunity to work with student teachers.

An internship at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Preschool offers an opportunity for students to gain practical, hands-on experience teaching young children, while learning from experts in the field of environmental education. This is a challenging, but highly-rewarding experience for someone considering a career in early childhood education and/or environmental education. For current internship opportunities, visit the Careers/Internships Page.
