Memories in the Making

Fall Riot of Color, Stephanie Bova

For the month of June our Mezzanine Art Gallery is featuring a show called “Memories in the Making.”

The Alzheimer’s Association Memories in the Making® program offers art expression for individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and early to the middle stages of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Participants create imaginative and colorful watercolor paintings. The painting process provides an opportunity to engage socially and reminisce about meaningful life moments, individuals or personal interests. Participants share stories about their art, which are documented by a trained facilitator. This often rekindles communications with family, friends and caregivers. Visit Alzheimer’s Association for more information.

Stop in the building after an early summer hike to enjoy the variety of art in this exhibit.
